The architect, Ascanio Vitozzi, designs the palace for the duke Carlo Emanuele I in the sixteenth century. In this palace the kings of Italy live until 1865, when the capital moves to Florence.

HOW

The military engineer, Carlo Morello, designs the facade in 1658. The facade, where you can see a lot of windows, is austere and it is closed between two towers.

Nowadays the building is a museum.

Inside there are two beautiful stairs and a lot of rooms where, in this moment, there is an exhibition about the Risorgimento.

CURIOSITY

The Royal Palace is the place where the king Carlo Alberto signs the Statute in 1848
